Communication Strategy
If you don't have a communication strategy! Start there! The newsletter strategy should be included in your communication strategy.
Answer the following questions:
- Why? Who? What? When? How?
- Why should newsletter be a part of your communication strategy? Why should you send newsletters at all?
- What is the effect you are aiming for?
- Is your target market well defined?
- When will you send it? When will your subscribers like to recieve it?
- How can you get the effect of your potential subscribers to long for your newsletters in their mailbox? What would they like to read about and how do you get them active (open, clicking etc)
- How are you going to plan to carry out the communication plan? Are you going to write your self or hire a professional for the writing?
If you are going to send newsletters - how much time would you like to spend on your list building, creating and sending newsletters. Time is money!
This is one of the reasons why we created Migur Newsletter to make your life easier and more effective.
JAB 2012 recap
We went to "J and Beyond 2012". There were more than 200 community members from almost 40 countries in Bad Neuheim in Germany.
Sarah Watz held a presentation about "Automailing with Joomla!" featuring Migur Newsletter.
As always a lot of networking between sessions.
Sarah got the honours to present the J.O.S.C.A.R winner for "Personal Contribution" to Ryan Ozimek. Joomla!Rocks :)

Error with timezones in Migur Newsletter
A new bug fix is out for Migur Newsletter - version 1.0.2b1.
This will fix a timezone issue that occurred during the change to winter-time.
Either update through the update-manager or download the new update here!

Today The Migur is pleased to announce the Migur Newsletter in 0.5 Alpha . The Migur Newsletter is different from all the other Joomla Newsletter Components. No inline HTML, a drag-and-drop interface when creating newsletters and much more.
Please register and login to download. The download of the Alpha installation package is free.
Please give us feedback. Note that this Alpha version is just for your review and should absolutely not be installed in a production or LIVE site. Enjoy :)
